REFUND POLICY

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION

Cancellation Policies and Refunds

When you need to cancel a booking, the refund amount you receive will be based on the cancellation policy outlined in your booking agreement for the event.

Although you will make a single full payment at the time of booking, the cancellation policies will itemize your payment into distinct amounts, each with its own terms. This is due to the fact that part of your payment serves as a deposit sent to the vendor prior to the event, which is typically non-refundable.

Cancellation Policies

Each vendor establishes their own cancellation policy, which dictates the fate of both the deposit and the remaining payment in the event of a cancellation. For instance, consider the following example of a cancellation policy:
Deposit ($500.00): The deposit for this event is non-refundable
Balance ($600.00): If you cancel at least 30 days before the event, your balance payment will be fully refunded.
Service Fee ($100.00): The Service fee is non-refundable if you cancel.
Vendor Cancellation: In the unlikely event the vendor cancels this booking or fails to appear, you're protected by our 'No-Worry Guarantee' and your total payment, including the service fee, will be refunded.

In this scenario, the deposit is non-refundable. Therefore, if you decide to cancel after making the booking, the vendor retains the deposit. The remaining balance is refundable if you cancel at least 30 days prior to the event. However, if you cancel within 30 days of the event, the vendor will still receive the balance, even though they will not be executing your event. This represents a moderately strict cancellation policy. The strictest cancellation policy would involve non-refundable deposits and balances, along with extended cancellation periods, though this is relatively rare. Conversely, the most lenient policy would allow for fully refundable deposits and balances, meaning you would receive a complete refund regardless of when you cancel, which is also uncommon.
The most frequently encountered cancellation policy typically features a non-refundable deposit alongside a refundable balance. It is important to note that EntertainersForHire's service fee is always non-refundable if you choose to cancel your booking. Additionally, if a cancellation policy indicates that a deposit or balance is refundable within a specific cancellation window, and you proceed to book the vendor and make your payment after that window has closed, that payment will be non-refundable upon cancellation.

For example, if the policy states that the balance is refundable if you cancel within 30 days of the event, but you book the vendor just 28 days before the event, that balance will not be refundable.

REFUNDS

To obtain a refund, you must cancel your event via EntertainersForHire.net.

Upon cancellation, you will receive an overview of the cancellation policy along with details regarding the payments eligible for refund. After we verify your cancellation, the necessary refund will be processed using the original payment method associated with the booking. This may take 1-2 business days. Once the refund is processed, it could take an additional 3-5 business days for the funds to appear in your account. If the cancellation policy indicates that no refund is applicable, EntertainersForHire.net will be unable to return any payments directly. Nevertheless, you may reach out to the vendor to explore the possibility of rescheduling their services or negotiating a partial refund. Should they agree to a partial refund, the arrangement should be made directly between you and the vendor.
